VMU SR invites the academic community to celebrate Christmas together

The Student Representatives of Vytautas Magnus University (VMU SR) invites all members of the academic community to forget the session for a short time, take a break from work and start looking forward to the most beautiful holidays of the year. December 16th (Monday) at 6 p.m. The traditional VMU Community Christmas Festival will take place at VMU Great Hall (S. Daukanto g. 28). This year it will be special as “V2” Teacher Awards returns with a bang.
During the event there will be Christmas workshops: origami, Christmas version of crosses-o’s game, drawing of snowmen, gift idea exchange and making of salt and flour mixture figurines. Vytenis Danielius, Isabella Mia, the band “Begėdžiai” and the “Vivere Cantus” Academic Choir (conducted by Rolandas Daugėla) will perform at the event. The event will also be attended by participants and volunteers from the “Kelrodė žvaigždė” project. In addition, 9 awards will be given to the most beloved and most deserving members of VMU academic community.
“This festival is special for a very simple reason – Christmas is a time of coziness and communion, it is a great opportunity for the community to come together in a different environment, to talk, to light the Christmas tree, thus igniting the festive mood in their hearts. And by rewarding lecturers, we want to show them that students care about the interconnectedness and commitment of lecturers to the work they want to evaluate,” says Monika Terzytė, the event’s coordinator.
“VMU Community Christmas” is a traditional event organized by VMU SR for the whole university community to be together in an informal environment, to feel the Christmas spirit, to listen to the works of the students and to light the Christmas tree together in the Student Square.
