Registration to the Subjects
When is the registration for subjects?
Registration for 2022-2023 academic year fall semester subjects will be held on August 23-29, except for students of the first cycle and the first year of integrated studies. The registration for them will take place on August 31.

Does a student need to register themselves for the C group subjects?
Yes, the student registers for speciality (group C) subjects himself. Registration takes place on the Student Self-Service Portal (www.studentas.vdu.lt)
Does a student need to register for the seminars?
Yes, if the study subject includes not only lectures of the subject, but also seminars, laboratory works and exercises, the student must register for all classes of the study subject. Registration takes place on the Student Self-Service Portal (www.studentas.vdu.lt).
What to do if a student cannot find a subject in registration?
The student must check that they have entered the subject name and type correctly (lecture, seminar, exercises, laboratory work, term paper, practice, etc.). If the student still does not find the subject, they can try to search by the name of the lecturer (s) (it can be found next to the study subject, in the study schedule).
Does the student need to register for the term paper himself?
Yes, the students need to register themselves for the term paper.
Does a student need to register themselves for the bachelor’s thesis?
No, students are registered for the bachelor’s thesis by the lecturers of the departments.
Does a student need to register themselves for the master’s thesis?
No, students are registered for the master’s thesis by the lecturers of the departments.
Where the registration for the study subjects are held?
Registration for the next semester’s study subjects is carried out on the Student Self-Service Portal (www.studentas.vdu.lt) Registration is only possible online.
Where can a student see the study subjects he/she has registered for?
The agenda and all the study subjects the student has registered for can be found at Student Self-Service Portal (www.studentas.vdu.lt).
Can a student register for a study subject or withdraw during a lecture by notifying the teacher orally or writing an email?
No, they cannot. It is only possible to register for study subjects and cancel the registration after the individual logs in to the Student Self-Service Portal (www.studentas.vdu.lt) A student who has not registered for the subjects is not entitled to take colloquiums and exams. A student who has not registered for the allowable minimum number of semester credits will be notified by email and removed from the student lists after the first month of the semester.
Can a student register in group C subjects of other study programs if they think that their knowledge is sufficient for that subject and if they are not interested in the offered group B subjects?
Yes, if they have free credits and are not interested in group B subjects. However, group C subjects must be from a different (non-student) study program.
Does a student need to register for the subject which they have a debt in?
Yes. The student needs to register for the subject themselves, in the semester when they will be taught. Registration for subjects takes place on the Student Self-Service Portal (www.studentas.vdu.lt).
