Applications for candidacy for the Board of VMU SA are accepted
On March 12th a report-election conference of the Vytautas Magnus University Student Council (VMU SA) will take place, during which the Student Parliament will elect a new President, the audit board and the management board for a one-year term. Those wishing to become a member of the management board must submit, by March 9th a completed application and motivational letter by email to president@vdusa.lt.
The Board consists of 7 people who are members of VMU SA, volunteers of VMU SA, Honorary members and / or Alumni. They ensure the implementation of resolutions adopted by the VMU Student Parliament, consider and adopt resolutions on all issues of VMU SA within it‘s competence, consider valid normative documents regulating the legal status of students and the organizations, prepare recommendations for their improvement, approved student representatives on the recommendation of the President , who are appointed with the right of decisive vote to represent the interests of Vytautas Magnus University students in Lithuanian and foreign institutions, organizations and establishments, organizes the elections of the Vytautas Magnus University Student Parliament and the President, supervises their progress and announces the results and performs other functions provided for in the regulations.
Each candidate for the Board is elected by secret ballot at a meeting of the Student Parliament. The Board shall elect the Chairperson of the Board from among it‘s members at the first meeting by secret ballot by a simple majority. The Chairman of the Board shall take office after the announcement of the results.
