Applications to run for the Board of VMU SA are accepted
March 10 a report-election conference of the Student Representative Council of Vytautas Magnus University (VMU SRC) will take place. During which the Student Parliament will elect the President, Audit Commission and Board of VMU SRC for a one-year term. Those wishing to become a member of the Board until March 7. must submit a completed application and cover letter by email prezidentas@vdusa.lt.
The Board consists of 7 persons who are members of VMU SRC, volunteers of VMU SRC, Honorary Members and / or Alumni. They ensure the implementation of resolutions adopted by the VMU Student Parliament, consider and adopt resolutions on all issues of Vytautas Magnus University within its competence, consider valid normative documents regulating the legal status of students and their organizations, prepare recommendations for their improvement, approve student representatives are appointed to represent the interests of Vytautas Magnus University students in Lithuanian and foreign institutions, organizations and institutions, organize elections to the VMU Student Parliament and the President, supervise their progress and announce the results and perform other functions provided for in the Articles of Association.
Each candidate for the Board is elected by secret ballot at a meeting of the Student Parliament. The Management Board shall elect a Chairperson from among its members by a simple majority of its members at its first meeting by secret ballot. The Chairman of the Board shall take office after the announcement of the results.
